Let's Get 'The Jersey Guys' Fired For Good.
Craig Carton and Rich Rossi, known as "The Jersey Guys" made derogatory and insensitive remarks towards the Asian Pacific Islander American community during the April 25, 2005 broadcast of their show. What started as comments against Jun Choi , a Korean American who is running for Edison, NJ mayor, turned into an outright attack against Asian America.

Ray Rossi: and you know…
Carton: We're forgetting the fact that we're Americans.
Rossi: You know that he's going to get the… whatever that vote is
Carton: And here's the bottom line... no specific minority group or foreign group should ever ever dictate the outcome of an American election. I don't care if the Chinese population in Edison has quadrupled in the last year, Chinese should never dictate the outcome of an election, Americans should.

Carton: We're bending over backwards to cater to fringe groups of people and I don't like it!
Rossi: As long as we understand where you're coming from… with the, uh poker table group...
Carton: Well go to AC for one week and try and get a table… ' ching chong, ching chong, ching chong [Mimics Chinese accent..] hehe you hit it on 17 you stupid bitch… the dealer's got a 5..im holding an 18…what're you hitting for… you know? They do it all day and night…they got their little beady pocketbooks with the little beads on it… they take out wads of 100s… ching chong ching chong [accent] they don't know how to play the game… eh, honey i got a 13 and I'm playing against a 6…

Caller: You just said it all, the last couple of … callers, I guess they don't know that they live in America and we're being overrun. I had just moved out of Edison because of what has happened in the past 10 years… Orientals are all along, the whole complete route 27. And Indians have taken over Edison in north and all over.
Carton: Damn Orientals and Indians .
Caller: I..i moved out..36 years I've lived in Edison
Carton: And what was the biggest problem you had with the Orientals and the Indians?
Caller: I can't handle them! There's no American people anymore.
Carton: Eh..
Caller: There shoving us the hell out!
Carton: It's like you're a foreigner in your own country isn't it?

I live in New Jersey and have actually heard these idiots on the radio. I have also seen how they've responded to criticism. They've done nothing.
The following is a list of some of their biggest sponsors:
Bank of America
Verizon Wireless
Applebee's
Asbury Park Press
Boar's Head Ham
Centex Homes
The Cancer Centers (Atlantic Health Systems)
I'm sure these companies will respond if enough people complain. They certainly don't want to be known as sponsoring racist programming. I'm going to write letters to all these companies. Please do the same.

this is for ray and the bald guy, its no wonder you have to work on radio, your too ugly to show your face so you hide behind a mic with your damn racism, your not getting anywhere with it, that's why your jealous of all the 100 dollar bills the chinese could afford to play with. Just because us indians are successful with our lives, does not mean we are not american. I was born and raised here as were my parents, so please explain how i am not american. Where were you born, where were your parents born, and then try telling me that your more american then i am just because your white. Come to edison and you'll see that its a great place to live and that's probably because all stupit racist people have decided to move out like that bitch who thinks she was runout by us. Its good, we dont need dumb bitches like that living in our community. The probably had to move into a trailor, trailor trash! I am a "Jersey Girl" -- born, raised, and educated in the Garden State. Often my radio is tuned in to the "Jersey Guys" as I sit in traffic during my drive home.
Here are a couple of my comments on the previous 2 statements on this blog:
First of all, has everyone forgotten what our First Amendment to the Bill of Rights means? The Constitution's framers believed that freedom of inquiry and liberty of expression were the hallmarks of a democratic society. Hence, the Carlton & Rossi are free to voice their opinions, and if you don't care for them -- then just turn your radio dial to some other vocal radio DJ.
I guess you haven't forgotten about the concept of Freedom os Speech since you both have been given the opportunity to vent your spleen with your idiotic comments. But this is what I would like to say: no matter what you are an American first. I don't care if you are black, asian, purple, green -- we are all Americans. But living near Edison, I know what Carlton was trying to say -- instead of embracing your hertigage - it seems as people from other cultures want the "freedoms of democracy" that comes with living in the USA, but still live day to day in your culture. I can't count the number of times that I go to a gas station, grocery store, mall, or anywhere where I hear negative comments about either living in America or in New Jersey. Hear my voice: If you don't like it -- move out of the state or this country!

I just wrote the manager of this radio station an e mail telling him how I was sickened by the Jersey guys radio show I came across on Friday the 19 th while scanning for something to listen to on my car radio!
Made me so ill I googled the name of the show so i could get the phone # for that radio station!
This is how I came across this site. Thankyou for the info and please keep after them to shut these guys down!!
